About me
Where it all began.
I'm a freelance lighting technician based near London, working across arena touring, large-scale international events and broadcast productions. Fully freelance since July 2025, I travel internationally and take on a wide variety of work — from arena tours to major national events.
I started as a general lampy and have built up experience across a broad range of productions. Over time I've developed a specialism in show networking — particularly Luminex — and have been increasingly trusted with Robo Spot system setup and configuration on large-scale productions.
I'm comfortable operating on grandMA3 day-to-day, and have hands-on experience with ChamSys and ETC consoles.
Career timeline
2015 — 2020
The start of it all — Ashcombe School
I started secondary school at The Ashcombe School in 2015. After watching my first school production, I joined the tech team. Over time I gained trust and knowledge, eventually designing stages for upcoming events and becoming Technical Manager — running my first Charity Week production.
2019 — Present
Capel Military Show
2019 was a big year — I ran my first show independently. The Capel Military Show gave me the opportunity to show my potential as a lighting designer and operator. I've continued to design and operate their Saturday night entertainment every year since as the show has grown.
2020 — 2022
Greater Brighton Metropolitan College
I completed a Theatre Production course at GBMC in Worthing, gaining a thorough understanding of professional production — including Vectorworks, QLab and Capture. I worked on a number of productions as part of the course.
2022 — 2024
TSL Lighting
I joined TSL Lighting as a trainee lighting technician. Warehouse and on-site experience across a wide range of productions — including Riot Games and the Sparks World Tour at the Royal Albert Hall.
2024 — 2025
Neg Earth Lights
One-year placement at one of the UK's leading lighting rental houses. Advanced fixture knowledge, maintenance and repair, and on-site experience including Twenty One Pilots.
2024 — 2025
Creative Technology — Middle East
Permalance work across the Middle East and Saudi Arabia with Creative Technology, across a wide variety of large-scale events including National Day in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
2025 — Present
Fully freelance
Since July 2025 I've been working fully freelance across arena touring, international events and large-scale productions. Increasingly focused on show networking alongside core lampy work.
